Sending a text message from the website:

Send to: Must be a 10-digit IVC customer mobile no. Example: 815550000 (no dashes).

Message length: The message can be up to 640 characters, however if the message is longer than 160 characters, it will be sent as two separate messages and the customer will be billed for two messages. If the message is longer than 320 characters, it will be sent as three separate messages and billed for three, etc.

From: Type in your name, email address, or any other identifier.

Callback Number: Put in your 10-digit mobile or office number. Example: 8155550000 (no dashes). If anything other than a 10-digit number is typed in, only 1111111111 will be sent.

Use your BACK button when finished to return to Illinois Valley Cellular.

Sending a Text Message to Another Wireless User
(IVC,or Other Carrier)

On your Illinois Valley Cellular wireless phone:

1. Go to the MESSAGING menu
2. CREATE a NEW text MESSAGE.
3. SEND TO or ADDRESS is their 10-digit mobile number.
4. Key in the text of your MESSAGE.
5. Select the SEND option to send your text msg.

Sending a Text Message to an IVC Customer from an Outside Carrier:

Everything is the same as above, except Step 3.

On their wireless phone:

3. SEND TO or ADDRESS is their 10-digit mobile number @ ivctext.com
Example: 8155550000@ivctext.com (no spaces)

Sending a message to an IVC Customer Using your Home or Office Email:

The TO or RECIPIENT is their 10-digit mobile number @ ivctext.com
Example: 8155550000@ivctext.com (no spaces)
